A set of business cards was printed using the letterpress technique to create an elegant and luxury look. By pressing the design with metal plates onto the paper, a debossed effect gives the printed shapes a nice indented volume. For better print quality, we used the Pantone uncoated 281 U ink on duplexed 600gsm cotton paper. Giving the cards a nice thickness and classic look, matching the identity of the company.

The most important aspect of creating a balanced design is making sure all the items are aligned and distributed proportionally inside the layout. To create a set of business cards for David Duncan Studio, the first step was to build a construction frame with Illustrator guides. Aligning the objects at equal distances from the center of the card, finding congruence between spaces and setting limits to give clarity and readability.
